I didn't even know this existed! But boy I am glad I found this recipe. It truly is the best of both worlds, for cookie lovers and brownie lovers alike. Then through on some Cookie Dough Frosting for those of us who can't wait to lick a cookie batter bowl clean, try saying that 3 times fast!
It has a cookie "crust" in this version but I have seen people reverse the layers and have brownie as the "crust" and cookie on the top. I actually think putting the cookie on the bottom keeps it moist and more gooey than letting it cook on top and turning into a crunchy cookie on top. But try it both ways and see which one you like, what's the worst that can happen you have to eat two Cookie Brownie Cupcakes, oh boo freakin' who!
1 roll of chocolate chip cookie dough
1 box of brownie mix (Duncan Hines)
Cupcake liners
Pre heat oven to 350. Slice the roll of cookie dough into 12 medium thick slices. Press the pieces into the cupcake liners and set aside.
Mix the brownie mix to the directions on the box. Spoon the brownie mixture on top of the cookie dough, about 2/3 to the top.
Bake for about 20 minutes, you don’t want the brownie top to be hard!
Top with any frosting, I have included the recipe for Cookie Dough Frosting though!

5 tbsp. butter, softened
