Apple Pie Taquitos

So I've been on sweets kick lately, my little sweet tooth has been begging for some new treats and who am I deny it that pleasure. I was searching through my Pinterest post from followers and I came across a couple good ones, but this one caught my eye. Anyone who knows me knows that Mexican food and sweets is the way to my heart, and when you put them both together I'm hooked! Not only do they look delicious but they seem simple to make which I love. I have not tried these yet so I can't tell you how they taste, but anything that has apple pie filling and caramel in it has to be good right.

Ingredients:

1 can (20 oz or 540 ml) apple pie filling

12 medium soft tortillas

¼ cup butter, melted

½ cup sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.

In a shallow plate mix together the sugar and cinnamon.

Empty the can of pie filling onto a cutting board and chop the apples into smaller pieces with a knife.

Lay a tortilla flat and top with a couple tablespoons of the apple pie filling. Tightly roll up the tortilla. Brush the taquito with butter the roll it through the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place the taquito in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Repeat with remaining tortillas and apple pie filling. You should have enough filling for the 12 tortillas.

Bake for about 15 minutes or until the taquitos start to get golden on top.
