These bars have everything you want in and on a sundae. Caramel, chocolate, and cookie dough, plus you top it with some ice cream! If this isn't a slumber party food I don't know what is people. This bar is a everything food who am I kidding.
I think it would be safe to even get a huge banana split, and crumble these bars onto with a bunch of whipped cream! Oh I am letting my taste buds talk again, but boy do they have some great ideas!
2 sticks of butter
½ cup sugar
¾ cup light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 ¼ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
¼- ½ cup hot fudge topping
¼ - ½ cup caramel topping
Pre heat oven to 350. Line a 9x13 baking pan with wax paper or spray with cooking spray.
In a bowl, beat together butter and the two sugars until light and creamy.
Beat in the vanilla and eggs, one at a time, until completely mixed.
In another bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat well, stir in the chocolate chips.
Press half the dough into the bottom of the baking pan.
Spread the hot fudge sauce over the cookie dough, use enough to cover the dough layer.
Spread the caramel sauce over the chocolate layer the same way.
Take small chunks of the remaining cookie dough, flatten them into small pieces in your hand, lay each piece over top the caramel.
Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, bake for a lesser time for softer bars!
