So after the bride and groom say "I do", it's time for the party to begin and what's a party without food? With so many wedding themes and budgets the food can run up a tab and be very creative. You want you guest to talk about 3 keys things, the dress, the venue, and the food of course. Nothing I love more than some good food at a wedding!

As I stated before, the food for a wedding is usually determined by 2 things; budget and theme. If you plan on having a lot of guest you have to feed, but you're still paying off student loans your budget is going to considered. Maybe your wedding theme is and Indian theme, and nothing says Indian themed wedding like chicken parm huh! Yeah that's what I thought, theme and budget people.

There have been some cute and creative food ideas popping up lately, and summer is wedding season and engagement season for some people. Let's check out some new and creative food ideas for 2015 to kick off wedding week!

1. Food Stations

Food stations at a wedding are so creative and fun. How many of us have been to a wedding where the menu is already set and you wanted something completely different. Stations give the guest a choice of what the eat or it is made, and everyone can be happy. The stations can be for the cocktail hour or for the actual meal of a wedding reception if your cool enough to have a super laid back wedding.

If this being your only meal option is to "hippie" for you, try it as your dessert portion of your reception! Desserts are meant to fun and laid back and a wedding can have more than just cake being served too!

An ice cream bar is sure to be a favorite for your guest, and yourself, who doesn't like ice cream and cake? You can set up this station with 3 types of ice cream and then have multiple topping choices like cookie pieces, sprinkles, chopped candy bars, and of course the syrups and whipped cream. Maybe instead of just having bowls add in some different kinds of cones too!

Another station idea is gourmet grill cheese sandwiches. This is more of a cocktail station to have, but still it is so creative. Offering different types of cheese, bread, and inside stuffers will have your guest happy to wait and see what the main courses are!.

These are just few station ideas, there are hundreds of station food ideas out there. Here are my top 5 ideas:

1. Nachos

2. Waffles/pancakes

3. Dessert pizza

4. Tacos

5. Potatoes

2. Unique Wedding Cakes

Wedding cakes are becoming more and more unique and out of the box, but this one takes the cake for real! A pancake wedding cake, well I have seen it all officially. If you plan on having an early morning wedding and your guest didn't eat breakfast, here you go. Coming in unique flavors like carrot cake, red velvet, and even wedding cake flavor this is a very unique idea.

But don't worry if pancakes aren't your style for a breakfast cake, we have donuts too. Apparently breakfast themed wedding cakes are getting really popular. Probably because people are getting married a little bit earlier in the day but either way it genius!

3. Glow in the dark cotton candy

This right here is the reason people won't let me plan their weddings, I would make this be a staple of every wedding I plan! So picture this, the night is winding down everyone is calm, then BOOM I whip out glow in the dark cotton candy! This is so cute really for any party, but I would so have this in my wedding.

The cotton candy itself isn't glowing and it's not a chemical thing, the wands make the cotton candy glow. Of course you would have to either a cotton candy maker on site, or you could find pre spun cotton candy and shove these wands in them yourself.

If you are planning a glow in the dark wedding, these wands are for you. If you are interested in buying these wands and more glow in the dark items check out the makers website glocone.com
